Biplane Expo 2009

Short blog tonight, mostly a link to lots and lots of pictures. Today was very windy, but it was also the last day of the last Biplane Expo in Bartlesville. They've been doing them for 23 years, so I figured it would be a good time to check it out. Many, many wonderful planes. Here's the link to a Photobucket album. You can click on each picture to make it larger or click "Slideshow" to view them that way.

Quite a show. The old timers are still alive. We have a few here in Hobbs. I watched them in a Memorial Day flyover at the cemetery, the "mising man formation" being a Stearman veering off as if shot down in action. And thenlater in the week I experienced a ride in a most modern helicopter, something Sage Words of the Air Force hasn't done yet = Can you imagine an Air Force man who hasn't EVER flown in a helicopter??
